“We’re helping tackle digital inequality.
At Whitbread, we use tech in all areas of our business and we wanted to find a positive way to repurpose the laptops we no longer needed.
To do this, we are working with Sustainable Tech 4 Good (ST4G), a socially responsible and eco-conscious business committed to repurposing technology for positive impact. Through this, over 500 of our laptops have been donated to ST4G, with many of them being distributed to KidsOut, a charity that provides technology to children in refuges across the UK.”
Here’s how the tech donated so far has impacted the refuges:
“For two teenagers currently in refuge and struggling to attend school, having access to a laptop has made a real difference. It gave them the chance to focus, catch up on missed schoolwork, and reconnect with their education in a way that felt manageable and supportive. In a time of instability, this opportunity helped restore a sense of routine and hope.”
