Sustainable tech 4 Good – Feedback
Feedback
Feedback is very important, as it enables us to report back to our corporate partners the positive difference their technology has made and how it has impacted those who are digitally excluded. As well as enabling us and our charity and corporate partners to share and positively promote how surplus tech can facilitate Digital Inclusion and create a real local impact.
Without this, we cannot highlight the issue of digital poverty and encourage further organisations to work with us, both of which will galvanise more companies in the private sector to utilise their technology to aid Digital Inclusion.
You can view some of our feedback below.

“As a small independent charity without any statutory support, we are reliant upon donations & grants. Due to the impact in delayed NHS assessments, the demand for our services are increasing daily and therefore we are looking to strengthen our team, processes and infrastructure to meet the demand of Neurodivergent families in Wales. This amazing support will make a difference and enable us to move into 2025, with a more robust IT infrastructure to support our team in the work they do.”

“We have used the three tablets to help in a research project we are doing into the barriers faced by women in midlife when accessing the workplace. Using the tablets has allowed us to host a questionnaire on the tablet and taken the questionnaire to the high street. Without this help we would have had to print copies or use our phones which wouldn’t be nearly as professional or eco. The tablets have been a huge boost to the work we are doing. Thank you.”

“This client left a home through domestic violence and has taken refuge in the UK with nothing last year. She now has her children here and the device helps her to build her own support network, access online services including mental health services, primary care NHS services, wellbeing and Mind services.”

“Partnering with Sustainable Tech 4 Good, and its Founder and Ambassador to KidsOut, Sue Gowling, this amazing organisation has provided KidsOut with over 400 devices to-date for families and their children, giving them the tech they need to help them regain their independence.”

“Thank you so much for providing laptops and a phone to our clients, who are all resettled refugees from countries such as Afghanistan and Syria. It had such a huge impact, not only in a logistical sense as they get to use the tech, but also to remind them that there are lots of organisations and people who want to support them so that they can thrive here and call the UK their new home.”

“The monitors are a huge help to the team to be able to better do their work and also to aid when helping local people to access support online. Having the support of Sustainable Tech 4 Good has been transformational for our organisation to be able to access tech when we need it.”

“Thank you for your smartphone donation. My client has recently moved into a supported shared house and is starting to settle here after a long period of homelessness. Having access to his own phone is vital for keeping in touch with support workers, his family, the DWP, job centre, medical professionals, and a universal credit journal. Access to a smart phone also brings comfort and entertainment (films, TV, music, internet) helping him feel less isolated. Many thanks, it is very much appreciated!”

“We set up a homework club last year for children in the area facing extreme poverty and also put a PC in our community hub for those unfortunately homeless to use. Recently we opened another hub and have placed a second PC there, again for people who are homeless to use.
Having the means to use a tablet or PC is absolutely essential in this day and age, for children it helps them to be included and reduces barriers to learning and for adults helps them to complete application forms, check benefit journals, search for help and support or just keep connected with social media. The difference is extremely positive and essential.”

“This is wonderful news, thank you so much! This will provide a huge help and next step for these young people into gaining much needed qualifications that they have been otherwise unable to access, it is so very appreciated. I have given out most of the wonderful laptops and they are most certainly having a positive impact already. Young people being able to access functional skills online courses, applications for jobs whilst they live in sheltered accommodation and helping them expand their digital inclusion whilst navigating personally difficult and traumatic events. Thank you already for all everything, it really is creating such a positive impact.”

“Referee was very happy with their new phone and it allows them to communicate with organisations, importantly, mental health organisations. He could previously not answer phone calls from others and this caused him a lot of stress and anxiety. He now has better communication with others and can get the mental health support he needs.”
