To coincide with the UN COP29 Climate Negotiations, The Carbon Literacy Trust held the biggest ever climate education and action training event on the 14th November. Thousands of people of all ages, backgrounds, and nationalities globally united to undergo a day’s worth of Carbon Literacy training, catalysing action on climate change by generating increased levels of involvement, activity and Carbon Literacy within their communities.
As a business with sustainability at its heart, we fully support such awareness days, especially as the training makes all stakeholders within participating organisations aware of and better equipped to understand and take action on, climate change. To-date we’ve managed to save 1,429,092 kg of CO2 emissions by repurposing excess tech and our circular economy keeps tech out of landfill, reduces the need to buy new (with all of the high carbon emissions associated with that) and aids digital inclusion.
