October’s Donations

The range of organisations we donate to is as broad as ever. CleanSlate, the Refugee Council, Hope Into Action, Changing Futures, and Nite Light CIC were just some of the organisations where our refurbished tech has increased digital inclusion.

“Lucy was able to procced with and complete IAG Level 2, she also continued to upskill through additional courses and has now found a support worker role.”
CleanSlate Service User

“Thank you so much for giving me the laptop, it’s helpful for my children for their homework and they do online class as well on it. Thank you once again.”
Refugee Council Client

“The family could not afford a new phone and theirs had broken. This was their only device they could use to access benefits, contact family, etc. So it was an incredible support to receive it, as well as they are so hard to come by.”
Refugee Council Support Staff

“Thank you so much for providing laptops and a phone to our clients, who are all resettled refugees from countries such as Afghanistan and Syria. It had such a huge impact, not only in a logistical sense as they get to use the tech, but also to remind them that there are lots of organisations and people who want to support them so that they can thrive here and call the UK their new home.”
Refugee Council Team

“Having the device has made a huge difference in my life. It has given me the opportunity to develop my career and gain qualifications. It has also made things easier for my daughter’s school work and development.”
Client – Hope into Action

“This laptop has benefited a homeless female that has been experiencing multiple disadvantages.”
“She wants to start a college course on upcycling old furniture and having the laptop will make it so much easier to keep up. Having the laptop has also given her more to do in her spare time and has helped to keep her away from old associates and habits.”

Marie Ludlam – Counting Every Adult Team Manager, Cambridge County Council (Changing Futures)

“We set up a homework club last year for children in the area facing extreme poverty and also put a PC in our community hub for those unfortunately homeless to use. Recently we opened another hub and have placed a second PC there, again for people who are homeless to use.
Having the means to use a tablet or PC is absolutely essential in this day and age, for children it helps them to be included and reduces barriers to learning and for adults helps them to complete application forms, check benefit journals, search for help and support or just keep connected with social media.
The difference is extremely positive and essential.”
