Red Cross Week 5th – 11th May is a crucial week of fundraising for the British Red Cross to help them deliver vital services across the UK and overseas. With over 100 million people displaced across the world, their work is more important than ever.
Sustainable Tech 4 Good are supporting the British Red Cross by donating devices, so that they can in turn support people in crisis and help reunite separated families.

“I am currently supporting a vulnerable refused asylum seeker who is destitute and regularly attends our Hackney Destitution Centre for support. The gentlemen kindly asked us for a smart phone or a tablet with a sim slot, as he would like to communicate online and see virtually his relatives and friend that live abroad. We are able to assist him with the provision of a SIM card with free credit and data for up to 6 months, but we do not have resources to provide him with a smart phone/tablet.”

Now he has access to a phone, he will be able to communicate with his family in Syria and it will simplify his day-to-day life a huge amount. Additionally, he will better be able to reach out for support. We are both very grateful for the support you have all provided. This will hugely improve this client’s life and they are more digital included.”
